Terms of use

Effective July 11, 2026

These terms cover the Sunny mobile and desktop app and this website. By using either, you agree to them. They are deliberately short: Sunny has no accounts and collects no personal data, so most of the usual clauses simply don’t apply.

License

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Sunny on devices you own or control, subject to the app store’s own terms. You may not redistribute, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it regardless of this clause.

Purchases and subscriptions

Sunny Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store and Google Play as a one-time lifetime purchase or an auto-renewing yearly or monthly subscription. Billing, renewals, trials, cancellation and refunds are handled by the store under its terms, and Sunny never sees your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your store account at least 24 hours before the period ends; the yearly plan’s 7-day trial is free if cancelled before it ends. The lifetime unlock is a single payment and never renews.

Your data

Everything Sunny stores lives on your device (see the privacy policy). That also means backups are your responsibility: deleting the app deletes its data, and there is no server-side copy to restore from.

No warranty; limitation of liability

Sunny is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It is a timer, not a safety device; don’t rely on it for anything where a missed alarm could cause harm. To the maximum extent the law permits, the developer’s total liability for any claim related to the app or website is limited to the amount you paid for Sunny Pro in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the change will be dated here and noted in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sunny after that means you accept the updated terms.
